Firecrest Films broke this world exclusive story revealing the repeated breaches of nuclear safety at Faslane, the naval base near Glasgow where all of Britain’s nuclear weapons are based. We discovered that on more than forty occasions, Radioactive waste from nuclear submarines had leaked in to the Firth of Clyde. We also revealed secret Government plans to locate the entire Royal Navy submarine fleet at Faslane, prompting the Ministry of Defence to formally announce this two weeks later.

SEPA - Scotland's environmental regulator - told us that had this catalogue of mistakes occurred at a civilian nuclear site, it would have been shut down.

The report made front page news in the UK and was followed up by all the national newspapers, TV and radio bulletins, including the BBC, ITV, Sky, ABC in the US and more than sixty other international news outlets.
